So today's my birthday. "Happy Birthday to me!" I wasn't planning on posting that it was my birthday, but then I got the best birthday present. Our USCIS Officer called me first thing this morning to let me know our I-800 has been approved and is on it's way to us!
YEAH!!!!! She said to give it a few days and call the NVC on Tuesday to see if they have received it and when they will be issuing that approval. So, if all goes well, and my prayers are answered, we will be submitting our paperwork to the US Consulate in Guangzhou by the end of the month.
We are continuing to pray that we will travel over Christmas break. Actually, as much as I would hate being away from home for Christmas, I am praying we will leave December 23rd which would put us meeting Kalia on December 26th. I cannot think of a better Christmas gift than meeting my beautiful daughter.
We are still up in the air on who (if anyone) to take. My father in law and I are getting together this weekend to fill out our Visa applications so we will have to make a decision by then.

Did you know you can go to China Adoption Online and in their timeline section they have an expedited way of getting NVC approval paperwork you need to send to your agency. It involves emailing them and asking for a pdf. Read their instructions as to how to do it, though, because it's very specific. Had we waited for our NVC by snail mail, they approved on the 21st and we didn't get the hard copy from them in the mail until the 31st.
