Praise God!

You guys are Amazing! Truly, Truly Amazing!

I honestly do not know what to say. "Thank you" just doesn't seem like enough.

I will admit I did NOT want to post another chip in or ask for anymore money! I feel like we have asked for so much already. However, Matt is the one who pushed me to do it, because honestly, without your help, I would not be boarding a plane tomorrow to meet Kalia on Christmas Day (I still cannot believe I will be face to face with her in 5 days).

I have been so humbled by the stories from people as to why they felt led to help and the events that took place in their lives after helping us. It is truly amazing and there is honestly only one person to thank and that is God. Because without him, none of this would be happening.

My e-mail is literally overflowing with words of encouragement and prayers.

I have one more immediate need to ask for before we go.

Last night while I was going through our checklist and getting paperwork ready, I noticed I could not find our Power of Attorney. Since Matt is not going, we have to take a POA with us for the adoption. I cannot find it anywhere. I e-mailed the agency and was lucky enough to get a reply (it was after hours). They are not sure they have it either. This. Is. Not. Good.

Not only does it have to be hand carried to China, but it has to be notarized, authenticated by the Secretary of State and then authenticated by the Chinese Consulate.

I board a plane tomorrow and still have SO much to do. I cannot take much more right now. IF they do not have it, we will have to drive to Indianapolis (which is 2.5 hours from us) and then turn around and drive to Chicago from there.

Matt is working and CANNOT do it, I am working today as well and literally have a list a mile long to get done. Having to drop everything to take care of this is going to add so much stress.

So, please PRAY that our POA is found and we do not have to do anymore running around or jumping through hoops to bring Kalia home.

We are SO close...

I am off to finish up last minute packing and get ready for the i-Pad drawing. I will let you all know who the winners are later today and will have all the prizes in the mail tomorrow morning.

check on the last page of any documents that are paper clipped together. Maybe it got stuck to another packet of paper. Praying!

Dear Heavenly Father, You are the God of miracles and have done this miraculous thing to bring sweet Kalia home. Please bring the POA forward so that Mandi can concentrate on her packing and spending the last moments together with her family. If she can't find it please clear all traffic for her trip and help no one to be in line so that it can be accomplished in as little time as possible.
We see, God, that Satan is doing everything in his "power" to keep Kalia from this family. We sense that you have a wonderful plan for her life that Satan wants to keep from happening. Please just bless the flight and trip and help Kalia and her family to instantly bond and have a wonderful Christmas together.
In your name,
Amen

A picture of a drawer, maybe a shallow one, keeps coming to me. Don't know why, but thought I should pass it on.

I hope that the POA turns up - you don't need any more hiccups in this journey! My thoughts are with you as you go to collect Kalia - may everything go smoothly from here on in - and may Kalia feel blessed by her new family!

Whew... how frustrating about the POA. Will pray that you find it! Also, praying for your trip tomorrow and looking forward to reading about your experience in China. What a gift for you to meet Kalia on Christmas Day.

Dear Mandi ~ We've never met. And, up to 2 days ago, I had never left a comment, although I do follow your blog. It was me who suggested that you put up the new Travel chipin. And, I blogged and offered a small Giveaway on my blog. I Prayed and posted on FB and Prayed a whole lot more! and, to come and see that you not only MET your Goal, you surpassed it! I am in awe of the many hearts that came together for you and your daughter! I just want you to know this...I'm not a troll, but a strong, Spirit Filled, Jesus Loving woman! That POA is NOT going to keep you from your child! He did not bring this adoption to this point, to let that piece of paper stand in the way. It's going to all work out!
Mandi, I have terminal cancer, but I have continued to Live...much longer than was ever expected! A life expectancy of 3-6 months, has turned into THREE YEARS! And, I plan on sticking around to watch you bring your sweet girl home!
Know that someone in MN. is praying for this journey and is sending lots of love to you!
Have a Blessed Christmas ~ Jo
